Work Permit

There are two types of Canadian work visas : Open Work Permit and Close Work Permit. These two types of work visas are based on the applicant's personal conditions, job position, and the immigration program to be applied for. to distribute.

Open Work Permit

Open Work Permit Open Work Permit: You can find any employer and type of work according to your work intention, including self-employment. There is no need to notify the Canadian Immigration Service when you leave.

 

The following are suitable groups for open work visas:

  • ​Graduation work permit : International students who have completed full-time (Full-time) studies in a public educational institution (DLI) designated by the government in Canada. The duration of the graduation work permit is issued according to the length of the graduate’s major. , the graduation work permit is valid for eight months to three years. Each international student can apply for the graduation work permit only once.

  • Spouse Work Permit: Spouse holding a full-time study visa can apply for an open work permit for the spouse of the work permit applicant

    •   Spouse of open work permit/closed work permit can apply for open work permit for spouse of work permit applicant

    • Canadian permanent residents can apply for an open work permit for their spouse after completing the immigration application for family reunification (applicants in Canada only)

  • Internship work permit: International students who already hold a valid full-time study visa can be issued an open visa if the major requirements or the course includes an internship, and applicants who need to work with the school’s designated employer or in the major during the internship period can be issued an open visa. International students cannot apply for an internship work permit)
     

  • Bridge work permit: On December 15, 2012, the Canadian Immigration Service launched a bridge work permit to help applicants who are waiting for immigration applications and overseas workers whose work visas are about to expire to get an open work permit. Continue to maintain legal status and work. (Bridge work permit applications must be applied in Canada)

Closed Work Permit

A closed work permit is the exact opposite of an open work permit. A closed work permit requires the applicant to work in a designated position with a designated employer in Canada. A closed work permit is issued to applicants who hold an LMIA and applicants who are exempt from the LMIA.
