International students can apply for a study visa only after receiving the admission letter from a designated Canadian institution. The way of submitting a study visa can be divided into face-to-face submission at the visa center, mail submission, or online submission. ​ On June 1, 2014, the Canadian Immigration Bureau introduced the policy of tourist visa to study visa. Tourist visa to study visa requires that tourist visa holders in Canada have completed pre-course or ten weeks or more. You can apply for a study visa in China only if you have a language course.

International students who hold study visas are recommended to apply 90 days before the visa expires.
